Many different types of samples can be analysed, some examples:
- Sugar, xylitol, honey
- Urea (solutions)

Sample preparation

For stable isotope analysis of solid samples, the samples needs to be dry, fine, homogeneous powders. If samples are not delivered as such, some sample preperation could be necessary:
- Extraction
- Drying
- Centrifuging
- Milling
- Etc.

Bulk isotopes

Bulk isotope analysis can be performed on solids or liquids. The following isotopes can be analysed:
- Carbon isotopes
- Hydrogen isotopes
- Nitrogen isotopes
